The ambassador was welcomed at the university by Rector Prof. Dr. Artūras Razbadauskas and his team. During the meeting, the university’s structure, main fields of research and study, as well as directions of international cooperation were presented. Although student exchanges between Lithuania and Estonia are not very intensive, it was emphasized that scientific cooperation is active and close.
A significant part of the discussion focused on higher education communication - how communication methods in universities are evolving and what role students play in presenting study opportunities to school pupils.
During the visit, the ambassador also toured Klaipeda University’s STEAM Methodology Center. She was introduced to the center’s activities, values, and future plans. The wide-ranging applications of STEAM education and the growing interest among students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics were also discussed.
