| During a meeting with the university’s leadership, the ambassador discussed joint initiatives with KU Rector Prof. Dr. Artūras Razbadauskas, Vice-Rector for Infrastructure Dr. Benediktas Petrauskas, and heads of research institutes and faculties. KU’s strategic research priorities, international projects, and study programs were presented, and opportunities for collaboration with Canadian higher education institutions were explored. Particular attention was given to enhancing research internationalization, student and faculty exchanges, and joint research partnerships. | ![]() |
In her public lecture “Canada and the New Order”, Ambassador Sautner shared insights on Canada’s role in global politics, its relations with Europe, the United States, and the Arctic region, and presented the Canadian government’s priorities in education, climate change, and security.
The ambassador encouraged students to think globally and take advantage of the international opportunities arising from cooperation between Lithuania and Canada. The audience was eager to engage – students inquired about Canada’s foreign policy, innovation policy, and career opportunities. According to KU representatives, such visits contribute to strengthening the university’s international outlook, broadening the academic community’s horizons, and inspiring students to strive for more.
