The Rector of Klaipeda University, together with the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, and a large delegation of representatives from state institutions and the business sector, is participating in various meetings in Japan from June 7 to 15. The visit includes high-level meetings with representatives of Japanese government institutions, academia, and business, aiming to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of innovation, technology, and education.
On June 10, during the Lithuania-Japan Science Forum "Innovations in Life Sciences, Biotechnologies and High Technologies" held at Waseda University in Tokyo, the Rector of Klaipeda University delivered a presentation entitled "Blue Economy and Biotechnology." The presentation highlighted the university’s scientific activities, research areas, and international partnerships related to the development of the maritime economy and biotechnology, with particular emphasis on implementing sustainable solutions and fostering the innovation potential of the Baltic Sea region.
