Klaipėda University Becomes a Member of the Lithuanian Artificial Intelligence Association

Klaipeda University (KU) has taken an important step in strengthening its position in the field of technology and innovation – it has become an academic member of the Lithuanian Artificial Intelligence Association (LAIA). This decision reflects the university’s commitment to advancing artificial intelligence (AI) research, studies, and innovative projects, thereby contributing to the growth of a modern national science and technology ecosystem.

Klaipeda University is the only comprehensive university in Western Lithuania, distinguished by its strong focus on marine sciences, technology, and innovation. Joining LAIA provides an opportunity to collaborate more closely with national research institutions, innovative businesses, and professionals in the field.

“I have been a member of this association for several years, and I believe that the involvement of institutions will bring even greater value to the entire AI ecosystem. Together with ‘Lighthouse HUB,’ we aim to contribute to the growth of the artificial intelligence community in Klaipėda and across Lithuania,” said KU IT Head Vytis Radvila.

The Lithuanian Artificial Intelligence Association unites academic institutions, business companies, public sector representatives, and individual experts who actively contribute to the development of the AI ecosystem. The association seeks to promote the creation and application of advanced technologies in line with international standards, while encouraging innovation and respecting ethical principles.
