To mark the 35th anniversary of Klaipeda University, on November 17 at 4:00 p.m., the University campus will host the unveiling of a new light installation – Dialogues of Light – created by renowned Lithuanian light artist Linas Kutavičius.
This composition of eight illuminated swings invites everyone to experience the joy of creativity and the power of togetherness through light and movement.
Linas Kutavičius is one of Lithuania’s most prominent and innovative light artists. His works stand out for their originality, technical mastery, and conceptual depth. The LED-based art objects he creates transform public spaces into distinctive, welcoming meeting places infused with warmth and aesthetic value.
Dialogues of Light is the first light art installation of this scale in Klaipėda, created especially to commemorate the anniversary of Klaipėda University. The work symbolizes the unity between the University and the city’s creative community, highlighting regional cultural identity and the vitality of contemporary art.
We invite students, lecturers, residents, and guests of Klaipėda to gather at the University campus, to experience this dialogue of light and motion, to share in creative energy, and to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Klaipeda University – together, in light and unity.
